Located in close proximity to Long Island Sound and Bridgeport, Trumbull
is a town boasting some of Connecticut’s greatest attractions. The town
is privy to fantastic entertainment locales such as the Shubert Theater,
Arena at Harbor Yard and Playhouse on the Green. Given its location and
hilly topography, Trumbull provides a variety of outdoor recreational
activities such as golf, boating, fishing, hiking and snow skiing.
Theaters, concerts and other educational activities abound. Trumbull is
also the home of the 1989 Little League World Champions.

Serving approximately 6,035 students, the Trumbull School System is
comprised of six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high
school. Trumbull employs approximately 450 teachers and administrators.
Six qualities the public school system strives to instill in each
student are “education, achievement, growth, life-long learning, ethical
conduct and social awareness.”

Housatonic Community College
900 Lafayette Boulevard, Bridgeport: Founded in 1967, Housatonic
Community College serves Southwestern Connecticut and is a member of the
Connecticut Community-Technical College system. The college moved into
its state-of-the-art campus of downtown Bridgeport in 1997.
Sacred Heart University
5151 Park Avenue, Fairfield: Sacred Heart University was founded in 1963
by the Reverend Walter W. Curtis and was the first Catholic university
in the United States to be led and staffed by lay people. Esteemed for
the individual attention it provides students, Sacred Heart University
is best known for its commitment to academic excellence and community
service.
University of Bridgeport
126 Park Avenue, Bridgeport: The University of Bridgeport is an
international, doctoral university with outstanding academic programs.
Students can earn degrees in many undergraduate and graduate programs.
The university employs 200 full and part-time faculty members.

Bridgeport Hospital
267 Grant Street, Bridgeport: Bridgeport Hospital is a private,
not-for-profit hospital with 425 licensed beds, 2,000 employees and 500
active attending physicians representing 70 subspecialties. 180
medical/surgical residents belong to programs affiliated with Yale
University School of Medicine.
Griffin Hospital
130 Division Street, Derby: Griffin Hospital is a 160 bed facility
serving Planetree, a not-for-profit international organization that
works with other hospitals and healthcare centers to provide
patient-centered care in healing environments. In 1995, Griffin won the
Design Award from The Center for Health Design which recognizes their
architectural conception, one promoting well-being and healing.
Saint Vincent’s Medical Center
2800 Main Street, Bridgeport: St. Vincent's is a major, 397 bed acute
care hospital with an active medical staff of 450 physicians. The
hospital has been recognized as one of the top 100 heart hospitals in
the United States, representing an ample range of more than 50 specialty
and subspecialty medical and surgical disciplines.
Trumbull Emergency Medical Service
Providing medical assistance to the community since 1976, Trumbull EMS
is a volunteer service comprised of 125 active members. EMS headquarters
houses a full crew: radio dispatcher, driver, two emergency medical
technicians and an on-duty paramedic 24 hours a day.

Theater
100 Quarry Road, Trumbull: Trumbull’s movie theater includes several
accommodations for the community at large. THX auditoriums, Dolby
Digital Sound, DTS Digital Sound, SDDS 8-Track Digital, DLP Digital
Projection, stadium seating, handicap seating and hearing impaired
listening devices are some amenities offered in this multi-theater
complex.
Indian Ledge Park
307 Indian Ledge Park Dr, Trumbull: Situated on 104.6 acres, this estate is home
to some of Fairfield County’s greatest attractions. Featured here is a
regulation size lighted softball field, BMX racing track, two
multi-purpose fields, amphitheatre stage, sledding hill, bocce courts,
woodland roadway, community playground with a picnic area and much more.
Indian Ledge Park is home to several annual functions such as the town's
Halloween happening, winter festival, radio control flying exhibitions,
national BMX race and outdoor movie nights.
Island Brook Park
80 Canterbury Lane, Trumbull: A 47 acre esplanade, Island Brook is an ideal
setting for a day at the park. The estate is comprised of a wildlife
pond, little league field, softball field, tot lot playground and tennis
courts.
Old Mine Park
198 Old Mine Road, Trumbull: A historic mine area dedication, this 72.1 acre
park is encompassed by two pavilions, a picnic area, multi-purpose
field, natural river walk bridge and hiking trails. Known for its biking
paths, there is a rail trail for elementary riders and many challenging
single tracks for the more advanced.
Tashua Knolls Golf Course
40 Tashua Knolls Lane, Trumbull: A 27-hole facility, Tashua Knolls is
perhaps one of the loveliest courses in Fairfield County. It features an
original par 72 golf course stretching 6,540 yards and is situated on
picturesque farmland. Amongst its rolling hills, other features include
mature trees, original stone walls and an array of wildlife. Scattering
water aggregations are an added challenge for golfers. Construction of
an additional 9-hole layout was completed and opened in 2005.
Trumbull Teen Center
Indian Ledge Park, Whitney Avenue, Trumbull: Home to several year-round
gatherings, teenagers enjoy spending time at the Trumbull Teen Center.
Pool, ping-pong, air hockey and foosball tables, a half-court basketball
and arcade games are just some of the many accessories the facility
offers.
Twin Brooks Park
Twin Brooks Drive, Trumbull: This estate encompasses several
attractions: a multi-purpose field, memorial walkway planting area,
sledding hill, covered pavilions facility, hiking trails and wildflower
fields. 83.2 acres in sum, the park hosts several town recreational
events. The esplanade also includes an ecology pond, a great place to
fish.
Westfield Mall
5065 Main Avenue, Trumbull: The mall includes an expansive food court
and is home to several renown stores, including Banana Republic, Bath &
Body Works, the new Build-A-Bear Workshop, Coach, Disney Store, Godiva
Chocolatier, Lord and Taylor, Macy’s, New York and Company, Perfumania,
The Bombay Company and several more.
