The centerpiece attraction of the Sono section of South Norwalk, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk explores the marine life and maritime culture of Long Island Sound. The Center combines an aquarium, interactive and changing marine resource exhibits, seamanship activities, boatbuilding demonstrations and a six-story IMAX theater. A tremendous community resource, visitors view sharks, seals, jellyfish, river otters and 125 other marine species, and may participate in the many on-going educational programs.
